Adding Setsters Appointment Software Widget to Viviti Free Website

Posted September 23, 2009

Setsters goal is to provide our clients with best appointment platform on the internet.   Our online appointment widget allows service providers to make appointments directly from their websites.  It’s simple, intuitive and very user friendly.

We just released Version 2 and it rocks.  It installs a overlay onto the front page of any website and allows a service provider to communicate with their clients without the client having to leave the web page.

I have been at free websites builders on the web and came across a great service called Viviti.  Today I wanted to test if the Setster appointment widget would work on their platform.  I was very happy to find that the installation was simple.  You’ll notice the appointment widget on the left hand side.  Here’s how I installed it:

First, sign up for an account at www.setster.com.  After you fill in information about your business, your availability and the services your provide, go to the Get Widget tab and select the type of widget you want on your site.  I selected the tab over widget and wanted it on the left.   From there, I simply copied the code.  (Control C).

Next I created a Viviti account.  I choose a back ground for my website and it took me right to my edit page.  On the top of the page, there is a “My Website” button.  I clicked on it, and chose “Edit Theme Source Code”.

This opened a Custom HTML dialog box.  Under the heading “File Name”, I selected the blue link “default HTML”. This opened a HTML editor.  There are many lines of code inside the editor, but putting Setster in there is simple.  We won’t disturb anything; we’re just going to paste what we copied earlier inside the box.  One of the top lines in the editor is a code line that reads “ </head>”  I placed my cursor just to the left of that line, and hit enter so there was a space.  I then put the curser in the empty space above “</head>” and hit “Control V” to paste the HTML code from Setster into the editor.

I clicked “Save”, and then closed the Customize HTML dialog box.

That is it.  Instantly and like magic, the Setster appointment scheduling widget appeared right on the web page.

Thanks Viviti for making such a easy to use web site maker.  I am defiantly going to tell all my friends about this great service.
